Police Rescue “Tortured” Boy

The police say they have rescued a pre-teen boy from two adults who subjected him to torture over theft at the New Ankasa community near Elubo in the Western Region.
The boy is reported to have stolen 200 cedis.
In a viral video, the victim appeared to be tied with a nylon rope to the roof of a building and subjected to scourging by the two.
The suspects, identified as Issah Morro, aged 58 years, and Suleman Abdul Rashid, aged 27 years, have been arrested.
“Suspects are currently in Police custody assisting an investigation.”
Meanwhile, the victim received medical attention and has since been handed over to his father.
“The Command assures the safety of the public and urges all to report any suspicious or harmful behaviour promptly to the nearest Police Station.”
