Asafohene Charges Konongo/Odumase SHS To Strive For Quality

The Otumfuo Akwamuhene, who doubles as the Asafohene, Akyamfuo Asafo Boakye Agyemang Bonsu, has reiterated the phrase that ‘education is the bedrock of any nation’. He has further emphasized that quality education is even more critical for any healthy and thriving society and hence must be the hallmark of the nation’s quest to educate its people.

It is in this regard that he is challenging the Konongo Odumase Senior High School (KOSS) to strive for quality education to be able to raise future leaders who would be fit for purpose and effectively respond to the needs of the country.

“Education is the bedrock of any nation and quality education is even more critical for any healthy and striving society”, he insisted.

He was speaking as representative of the Asantehene Otumfuo Osei Tutu II during the climax of the 70th Anniversary of the Konongo/Odumase Senior High School in the Asante Akyem Central Municipality.

Asafo Boakye Agyeman Bonsu charged the leadership and alumina of the school to reflect and project into the future as to where they would want the school to be when they will be celebrating any future anniversary of the school and work towards it.

“Therefore in commemorating 70 years of great successes and achievements of this school, it is equally important to also reflect on its future on how do we all want to see KOSS; that is celebrating its 150th anniversary”.

He conveyed the congratulatory message of the Asantehene Otumfuo Osei Tutu II to the school. He told them His Majesty is looking forward to seeing the leadership of the school at the Manhyia Palace where he would announce to them how he intends to support the school on their 70th anniversary.

“I would want to convey His Royal Majesty’s congratulations on your 70th anniversary. Otumfuo has asked me to inform you that his doors are ever open to you and he is ever ready to provide any support you require hereafter. He asked me to invite you to visit him in person and he will be able to honour his obligation that is right and due this noble institution”, he noted.
