Antoine Semenyo Strikes as Man City Beat Chelsea to Lift 2025/26 FA Cup

English-born Ghanaian forward Antoine Semenyo scored the only goal as Manchester City defeated Chelsea 1-0 to win the 2025/26 FA Cup final at Wembley Stadium.

Semenyo produced a moment of brilliance in the 72nd minute, applying a beautiful back-heel finish to settle a tight and tactical contest between two well-organised sides.

The match was a hard-fought affair with both teams cancelling each other out for long periods, but it was Semenyo’s clinical strike that made the difference and handed Manchester City their eighth FA Cup title.

The 26-year-old joined City mid-season from AFC Bournemouth and has proven to be an excellent signing for Pep Guardiola.

The victory marks his second major trophy with the club, having previously won the EFL Cup.
Semenyo has been in phenomenal form throughout the campaign, registering 20 goals and 6 assists across all competitions.

His impressive performances have firmly established him as Ghana’s most in-form player at the moment.

With the 2026 FIFA World Cup on the horizon, the prolific forward is widely expected to earn a place in the Black Stars squad as Carlos Queiroz prepares the team for the tournament in North America.
