Accident On Kpong Akosombo Road Interrupts Traffic Flow
The Ghana Police Service has called on motorists plying the Kpong Akosombo road to follow directions by officers following an accident.
The accident involved a commercial vehicle and a taxi.
It is not yet clear how the accident occurred but pictures shared by the Service showed the crumple zone of the taxi crumpled.
The commercial vehicle according to the picture ended up crashing into a tree along the road.
It is unknown if any fatality was recorded, however, a brief police statement on Tuesday, March 7 morning said victims were being assisted by some officers from the Police, Fire and Ambulance Services.
Some of the officers are also working to tow the two vehicles to ensure smooth traffic flow.
“We urge all road users on that stretch to exercise patience and take direction from the officers at the scene”, the Service said.
