A/R: ECG Announces Planned Power Outage on July 8

The Electricity Company of Ghana (ECG) has announced a planned maintenance exercise in parts of the Ashanti Region that will result in a temporary power outage on Wednesday, July 8, 2026.

In a notice issued on Monday, July 6, 2026, ECG said the maintenance works are aimed at improving service delivery.

The outage will affect residents in Buokrom Town, Sepe Market, Buokrom Zongo, and surrounding areas.

It is scheduled to take place between 9:00am and 3:00pm.ECG expressed regret for any inconvenience the exercise may cause and urged customers in the affected areas to take note and make the necessary arrangements.

The company reiterated its commitment to providing reliable power supply and said such planned maintenance is necessary to ensure efficient and stable service delivery.
