Abu Francis In Stable Condition after Emergency Repose- GFA

Ghana Football Association (GFA) has announced that Toulouse FC’s midfielder Abu Francis who suffered a horrific injury during the Kirin Cup match between Ghana and Japan is in a stable condition.
According to the Association, he was given an emergency response at the Toyota Memorial Hospital.
“The Black Stars medical team, led by Dr. Prince Pambo, the Toulouse FC team doctor, and doctors at the Toyota Memorial Hospital, have held comprehensive meetings and agreed on the appropriate management plan for the player.”
The GFA while wishing the player a speedy recovery expressed gratitude to Ghanaians for the outpouring of solidarity.
It assured, “The Association will update the public on the next steps for the player’s surgery and recovery plan in the coming hours.”
The captain of the Black Stars, Jordan Ayew, has since reached out to the player.
Ayew, who missed the game due to a knee issue, expressed his support for Abu in a heartfelt phone call, saying, “On behalf of all the players, we wish you a speedy recovery and pray that God will heal you to return to the field to do what you love to do most”.
Abu sustained a horrific injury in the Kirin Challenge Cup against Japan on Friday after he was fouled by Tanaka Ao in the early stages of the second half.
