Police Intercept Sprinter Benz Bus Carrying Suspected Narcotic Drugs

The police in the Eastern Region have intercepted a bus conveying suspected narcotic drugs at Nkurakan.
The Sprinter Benz bus with registration number AS 1933-21 was intercepted on June 17, 2025.
Upon a search of the vehicle, the police found 78 sellotaped oval-shaped balls of plant material suspected to be Indian hemp.
They were concealed in five sacks of maize, according to a police statement.
The driver of the vehicle identified as Christopher Saigoe was arrested for the unlawful possession of the suspected narcotic drugs.
“The suspect is currently in Police custody assisting investigations and will be put before court.”
