The newly appointed Finance Minister, Hon. Mohammed Amin Adam plans to frequent the Manhyia Palace to meet with the King of the Asante Kingdom, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, now.

“Many people do not know but I have come to you several times. The last time I came to you was just last month and I’m here again to seek your blessings and your wise counsel.

“This office is a very challenging office, especially at this time and it’s only wise counsel from you that will guide me through this job successfully,” he said during his visit to the Manhyia Palace on February 20, 2024, to formally introduce himself as the country’s current Finance Minister.

He was in the accompany of Deputy Finance Minister John Ampontuah Kumah, Chief Director Eva Eselba Mends, Director of Economic Strategy and Research Alhassan Iddrisu, Director of Policy Coordination Monitoring and Evaluation Division Augustus Kwesi Adu and others.

He takes over from Ken Ofori Atta who has reportedly been appointed as the Senior Presidential Advisor on the Economy and Special Envoy on International Investments and Capital Markets.
