Use Mobile Phone-based Platform- NHIA to Facilities Experiencing System Hitches

The National Health Insurance Authority (NHIA) has directed all credentialed health facilities experiencing technical disruptions to resort to the mobile phone-based platform.

It expects seamless healthcare services to NHIS members in the course of the temporary glitch.

“Providers are advised to use the alternative mobile phone-based platform to generate Claims Check Codes (CCC) to ensure the smooth continuation of care and service delivery.”

It warned against subjecting NHIS members to any financial burden or out-of-pocket payments as a result of this temporary system disruption.

Meanwhile, it encouraged NHIS members experiencing challenges to contact the NHIA Call Centre on 054-444-6447.

“The NHIA sincerely appreciates the patience, understanding, and cooperation of healthcare providers and NHIS members as the Ministry of Health, together with relevant stakeholders, works urgently to resolve the issue and restore full system functionality.”
