We Are Not Recruiting Personnel- EC
The Electoral Commission (EC) of Ghana has dispelled reports that it is undertaking personnel recruitment.
This comes ahead of the Assin North Election next week.
In a statement, the head of the Commission’s Public Affairs, Mr Michael Boadu, referenced some advertisements purportedly from the Commission and advertising recruitment.
“The attention of the Electoral Commission has been drawn to an advertisement circulating social media platforms to the effect that the Commission is carrying out a recruitment exercise.”
It gave no further information about the fake news but denied it.
“The general public is informed that the Commission is not carrying out any recruitment exercise. The public is advised to disregard it.”
This comes as the EC prepares to conduct a by-election in the Assin North constituency to fill the vacant seat in Parliament.
The election will be held on Tuesday, June 27, 2023.
