WAEC Releases Timetable For BECE

The West African Examination Council (WAEC) has released the timetable for Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE).

The timetable will govern both school and private candidates for 2023.

Per the calendar, the exam begins on Monday, August 7 and ends on Friday, August 11.

Two subjects will be sat each day except for Friday when only one subject will be undertaken.

Religious and Moral Education and English Language are scheduled for the first day; Integrated Science and Ghanaian Language for day 2; Social Studies and Basic Design and Technology for day 3; Mathematics and Information Communication Technology for day 4; and finally French for the last day.

Each subject is divided into two papers, however, the Council notes that they will be undertaken without a break.

Whereas the time allocation is fixed, candidates with impairments will be granted an additional 50% of the time allotted to other candidates.
