V/R: 3 Suspects Arrested as NACOC Disrupts Major Cannabis Production Hub

The Narcotics Control Commission (NACOC) has recorded a breakthrough in the fight against drug trafficking following the arrest of three suspects during a high-stakes overnight operation at a suspected cannabis production and storage hub in Koleonu, Wegbe, and Akplamafu in the Volta Region.

Acting on credible intelligence, NACOC’s tactical operations team launched an intensive all-night raid on a stash house believed to be a key centre for the cultivation, processing, and distribution of cannabis and hashish oil in the area.

The carefully coordinated operation led to the successful arrest of three principal suspects allegedly linked to the illegal drug trade.

The operation was a decisive strike against narcotics-related criminal activity, emphasising NACOC’s growing determination to dismantle drug syndicates threatening public safety and community wellbeing.

This operation marks a significant step in NACOC’s ongoing efforts to identify, disrupt, and dismantle illegal drug networks across the country.

The suspects are expected to aid ongoing investigations as NACOC works to uncover additional collaborators and trace supply routes connected to the operation.

The successful raid underscores NACOC’s intensified crackdown on narcotics trafficking and serves as a stern warning to individuals involved in the illicit drug trade that law enforcement remains vigilant and uncompromising.

The three suspects are currently in custody assisting with investigations and are expected to face prosecution in accordance with the law.
