Unposted Nurses Embark On Demonstration In Tamale

Stranded nurses and midwives who have completed school and yet have not been posted have embarked on a demonstration to bring the attention of the Ministry of Health to their aid.

These nurses in their demonstration stated that they have been home for three years after completing school, that is since 2019.

They raised concerns that their colleagues who are degree and diploma nurses and midwives have been posted to various health centres.

They call it discriminatory because they do not understand why those of them with certificates haven’t been posted.

Some of them spoke with the media narrating how hard life has been for them, taking money from their parents and friends which is a shame for them in their old age.

They look forward to the Ministry of Health hearing their plight and posting them as their colleagues have been posted.
