Trade Ministry Prepares for US Chamber of Commerce Trade Mission to Ghana

The Ministry of Trade, Agribusiness and Industry is finalising preparations for a proposed Ghana–US Chamber of Commerce trade mission scheduled for 30 May to 5 June 2026.

The Deputy Minister, Sampson Ahi, chaired a high-level meeting on May 20, 2026, with agencies under the Ministry to review Ghana’s readiness, priority projects, and key investment opportunities to be presented during the visit.

The mission follows President John Dramani Mahama’s recent visit to the US Chamber of Commerce in the United States.

Discussions centered on strengthening institutional coordination ahead of the mission, including plans for an investment roundtable and business-to-business engagements aimed at deepening trade and investment ties between Ghana and the United States.

Key sectors expected to attract interest include agriculture and agribusiness, renewable energy, technology, and other strategic growth areas of the Ghanaian economy.

The Ministry said the visit offers a platform to showcase Ghana’s investment potential and reinforce the country’s position as a preferred destination for international business and partnerships.
