KMA, French Embassy Target Investment in Waste-to-Energy, Tourism and Infrastructure for Kumasi

The Kumasi Metropolitan Assembly (KMA) is pushing to position the city as a hub for investment and sustainable urban growth, with France pledging support to attract investors and technical partners.

Metropolitan Chief Executive, Hon. Richard Kwasi Ofori Boadi Agyemang, held a strategic meeting with H.E. Diarra Dime’-Labille, French Ambassador to Ghana, to discuss opportunities in tourism, hospitality, waste-to-energy, real estate, climate resilience, urban infrastructure and local economic development.

At the meeting, the Mayor presented several flagship projects the Assembly is championing, including a proposed international convention and hospitality complex, a modern waste-to-energy facility, and other initiatives aimed at creating jobs, improving public services and raising the quality of life for residents.

Ambassador Dime’-Labille reaffirmed France’s commitment to support Kumasi by linking the city with French investors, development institutions and technical experts. She also encouraged stronger collaboration to help unlock Kumasi’s economic potential.

“KMA and the French Embassy are building partnerships that will drive sustainable growth, attract investment and shape a brighter future for the people of Kumasi,” the Mayor’s office said.
