The heartbeat of any 21st century football is the Youth Team – Ibrahim Danlad

Asante Kotoko young goalkeeper, Ibrahim Danlad, has lauded the idea for Kotoko to have a well-organised youth team.
The new Board of Directors have been tasked by the life patron and owner of the club, His Majesty, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, Asantehene, to build a state-of-the-art Youth team for the Porcupines’ in their three-season mandate.
Speaking about the new direction of the club to have a Youth team on Opemsuo 104.7 FM evening sports show, Pramaso, former U-17 and U-20 goalkeeper, Ibrahim Danlad claims, the existence of Youth team will pave way for young talents in and around Ghana who want to play football which subsequently will benefit Kotoko because Kotoko will not spend huge monies on players purchase.
“The heartbeat of the 21st century team is their Youth side. No club can survive without Youth team.”
“It is painful we have not paid particular attention to the Youth Team. The likes of Ajax, Barcelona, Bayern Munich and others are using it for serious business.”
“I am hugely thrilled about this move to develop the youth team because it was through that system I developed my talents. It is of great importance to have a Youth team.”
Danlad, 17, is one of the beneficiaries of the Youth team- and through that, he got the opportunity to don the Jersey of Asante Kotoko SC.
