Asanteman Mourns: Multitudes Show Solidarity With Asantehene

Multitudes have trooped to the Manhyia Palace to show solidarity with Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, Asantehene, ahead of the burial rites of Nana Konadu Yiadom III, Asantehemaa.
While some came in their individual capacities, others came in groups when the King sat in state to receive commiseration of the general public on September 12, 2025.
The occasion was particularly used to donate and extend condolence messages.
Nananom
From Adansi Dompoasehene who gave a donation of drinks and GHc20,000; Oheneyere Akua Afriyie who gave 50 cartons of bottled water; Mamfehene who gave 200 cartons of bottled water, other drinks and cash; to Mimhene who gave schnapps and cash, the presence of traditional authorities were duly felt.
Meanwhile siblings of the Aduana Clan- Asumenyahene, Kumawuhene and Bompatahene- gave 100 cartons of bottled water and other drinks as their token.
Other offerings came from Tredehene who gave drinks and cash; Hia Stool, which gave drinks and ¢20,000; and Kunsuhene, who gave 20 cartons of bottled water, other drinks and ¢2000.
Nana Kwamohene, Nana Fumesuahene, Nana Hemanhene, Nana Yirempehemaa, Nana Mehamehemaa and others also gave their quota in support of the burial rites.
Clergy
Clergymen from the Lighthouse Church International, Kumasi Diocese of the Anglican Church and the Pentecost Church of Ghana, while offering their spiritual support, also gave their substance to the Palace.
Bishops of the Lighthouse church, representing the founder Bishop Dag Heward Mills, who is out of the jurisdiction, gave GHc100,000 cash and 100 cartons of bottled water to serve mourners during the four-day burial rites.
The Anglican Diocese of Kumasi, for its part, donated 20 cartons of bottled water and cash.
Financial Institutions
Financial institutions, including the Bank of Ghana (BoG), GT Bank, Fidelity Bank and Prudential Bank, also joined the masses.
GT Bank and BoG gave 100 cartons of bottled water, other drinks and cash each, while Prudential Bank officials offered 50 cartons of bottled water, drinks and money.
Fidelity Bank, for its part, donated GHc10,000 and 50 cartons of bottled water.
Corporate Institutions and Businesses
The business community also showed their solidarity.
Among them were Accra Brewery PLC, Kumasi Mall, Kasapreko Company Limited, BBC Industrial Company, GLICO Group, Poultry Farmers Association, Mfum Farms, Darko Farms, and Wesley College of Education.
Also, were the Ghana Airports Company Limited (GACL), Kumasi Mall, BBC Industrial Company, Asante Kotoko, Strong Adams, Alabar Motor Dealers, Alabar Rubber Dealers, and others.
Other Groups and Individuals
Efiri Tete Group, Descendants of Nana Osei Nkwantabisa, Descendants of Male Royals, Kotoko Mma, and others joined.
