Aflao MoMo Vendor “Killers” Arrested

Four suspects are in police custody over the murder of a Mobile Money (MoMo) vendor at Gbagblakope in Aflao in the Volta Region.
Christopher Ahordo died after he was shot by armed robbers who attacked him on April 28 around 6 pm.
The assailants took away his bag, believed to contain money.
A joint intelligence-led operation between the Volta Regional Police Intelligence Department (RPID), the Police SWAT Unit, Operation Motherland Taskforce, and ‘ACTION NOW’- a Community Watch Committee in Aflao- led to the arrest of four suspects on May 10.
The suspects, comprising one Nigerian, have been identified as Michael Sewornu, aged 34, Korku Agboada, aged 43, Atsu Agbagla, aged 36 and Utsuku Onyeso, aged 22.
“They are currently in Police custody assisting in the investigation,” the police said in a statement.
It added, “The Police are once again entreating the public to be security-conscious and collaborate with us by providing credible and timely information about criminals.”
