Freezy Macbones Presents WBO Africa Title Belt to Asantehene

Ghanaian light-heavyweight boxer Seth Gyimah, popularly known as Freezy Macbones, has presented his newly won WBO Africa Continental Light-Heavyweight title belt to the Asantehene, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, at the Manhyia Palace.

The presentation took place during the grand celebration of the 7th Akwasidae Festival in Kumasi on Sunday, October 11, 2026.

Displaying the championship belt before the King, Freezy Macbones expressed his profound gratitude to Otumfuo, attributing his victory over Nigerian boxer Godday “Zodsolo” Appah in Lagos to the blessings he previously received at the palace.

Addressing the durbar, Macbones recounted how the Asantehene’s spiritual backing transformed his career:

“Some time ago, I came here, and Otumfuo blessed my boxing gloves, which brought miracles into my career. Two weeks ago, I went into a bout with a Nigerian opponent in Lagos. It was a tough fight, but I emerged victorious and was crowned the WBO Africa Light Heavyweight Champion. I came today to present the belt and express my gratitude to Otumfuo.”

He also informed Otumfuo about his upcoming international bout and sought his blessings to win it.

Macbones is booked for a highly anticipated showdown against British light-heavyweight boxer Dan Azeez in December 2026.
