Asantehene Blesses Freezy Macbones Ahead of December Bout

Ghanaian light-heavyweight boxer Seth Gyimah, popularly known as Freezy Macbones, has received the royal blessings of the Asantehene, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, ahead of his upcoming international bout.
Freezy Macbones sought the King’s blessings during the celebration of the 7th Akwasidae Festival at the Manhyia Palace in Kumasi on Sunday, October 11, 2026.
The boxer presented his newly won WBO Africa Continental Light-Heavyweight title belt to the Asantehene, attributing his recent ring success to the King’s continuous spiritual support.
Macbones captured the continental title following his victory over Nigerian contender Godday “Zodsolo” Appah in Lagos, Nigeria.
Expressing his gratitude at the durbar, Macbones shared how a previous encounter with the Asantehene transformed his boxing career, “Some time ago, I came here, and Otumfuo blessed my boxing gloves, which brought miracles into my career. Two weeks ago, I went into a bout with a Nigerian opponent in Lagos. It was a tough fight, but I emerged victorious and was crowned the WBO Africa Light Heavyweight Champion. I came today to express my gratitude to Otumfuo.”
Having secured the continental title, Freezy Macbones is now scheduled to face British light-heavyweight boxer Dan Azeez in a highly anticipated bout set for December 2026.
