Swiss Business Community in Ghana Bids Farewell to Ambassador Simone Giger

The Swiss business community in Ghana has bid farewell to Ambassador Simone Giger as she prepares to conclude her diplomatic mandate in the country.
Business leaders expressed heartfelt appreciation for Ambassador Giger’s leadership, dedication, and strong engagement with the private sector during her tenure.
They noted that her active involvement greatly strengthened collaboration between Swiss companies and Ghanaian partners, while bringing renewed vibrancy to the Swiss business community in Ghana.
Under Ambassador Giger’s watch, Swiss-Ghana economic ties saw increased engagement through trade missions, investment forums, and closer dialogue with local industry players.
Her emphasis on private sector partnership was credited with deepening commercial relations and creating more opportunities for Swiss firms operating in energy, finance, manufacturing, and other sectors.
“We thank Ambassador Giger for her outstanding service and wish her continued success in her next chapter,” business leaders stated in a joint message.
Ambassador Giger served as Switzerland’s representative to Ghana during a period marked by growing interest from Swiss investors in West Africa.
Her exit marks the end of a tenure that the business community says helped build stronger trust and cooperation between Switzerland and Ghana.
The Swiss Embassy in Accra is expected to announce her successor in the coming weeks as she transitions to her next diplomatic assignment.
