A/R: DCOP Teye Cudjoe Takes Over as Regional Police Commander

DCOP Emmanuel Teye Cudjoe has taken over as the Ashanti Regional Police Commander.

His appointment took effect on February 12, 2025, the Ashanti Regional Coordinating Council (ARCC) confirmed in a Facebook post.

He was formerly the Regional Commander for Central North Police Regional Command made up of two Police Divisions, seven Districts, and thirty Police Stations and Posts.

He succeeds DCOP Frank Abrokwa who was transferred to Police Headquarters in Accra in response to his unsatisfactory response to the violence that marred the Council of State election in the Ashanti Region on February 11 at the Regional Coordinating Council.

DCOP Teye Cudjoe was welcomed by the Ashanti Regional Minister, Hon Frank Amoakohene on February 12.

“The Ashanti Regional Minister stated that he looks forward to a strong collaboration in maintaining stability and fostering a secure environment for all within the Region and the country at large,” a post by the ARCC read.
