Speaker Announces Date For Reconvening of Parliament
The Speaker of Parliament, Rt Hon Alban Sumana Kingsford Bagbin, has charged lawmakers to make ready for the reconvening of Parliament at the end of this month.
The 9th Parliament of Ghana’s Fourth Republic concluded the first meeting of its first session today, March 28, 2025, after approving the 2025 Budget Statement.
The second meeting of the first session of the ninth parliament will begin on May 27.
This was conveyed in a notice by the Speaker on May 12, 2025.
When the House convenes, it will be expected to, among other things, begin the process to scrap the Legislative Instrument that mandates mining in Forest Reserves.
It will also undertake a legal review to reduce the fees for passport application to GHC350.
