Shattafest UK Cancelled Following Incident Outside Venue
Organizers of Shattafest UK have cancelled the event following a serious incident that occurred outside the venue, resulting in reported casualties.
In an official press statement released by the Management of Shatta Wale and the Shatta Movement Empire, the team expressed “a very heavy heart” over the unfortunate events that led to the cancellation.
“Following reports of a serious incident outside the venue, the difficult decision was made to cancel the event. Nothing is more important than the safety and well-being of every single person who came to celebrate music, unity, and love,” the statement read.
The organizers said they are deeply saddened by reports of injuries and the alleged loss of lives. While awaiting official confirmation from authorities, they extended thoughts and prayers to the individuals involved, their families, and everyone impacted.
The statement noted that Shatta Wale has always stood for bringing “joy, hope, and unforgettable memories” to fans, and described it as “truly devastating” that an event meant to be a night of celebration turned into a moment of pain.
Management appealed to the public and media to avoid speculation while investigations are ongoing. They also expressed appreciation to emergency services, security personnel, medical teams, and venue staff who responded swiftly.
“Shatta Wale and the entire Shatta Movement family remain committed to cooperating fully with the relevant authorities and event partners as they work to understand exactly what happened,” the statement added.
