Report: Man Loses Finger Trying To Rescue Fowl From “Madman”
A young man has lost his little finger while trying to rescue his fowl from a man with mental illness at Anyaa NIC Top according to reports.
A brother of the victim is reported to have also sustained machete wounds while trying to rescue him.
The incident happened today around 6:30 am.
An eyewitness identified the man alleged to be with mental illness as Mawuko, also a resident of Anyaa NIC.
According to him, “the Victim pounced on Mawuko trying to slaughter his fowl. In an attempt to rescue it, Mawuko cut off one of his fingers with the machete with which he was trying to kill the fowl. The victim’s brother also came out to help and sustained a machete wound on his hand too”.
Mawuko is said to have escaped after the victims managed to take the machete from him.
Meanwhile, the victims are receiving medical attention at a medical facility.
Narrating the incident to UTV, Evangelist Willie, the eyewitness said Mawuko is fond of slaughtering the livestock of residents in the neighbourhood.
