Pilot Registration: Wear Nose Mask before coming – EC reminds Applicants

The Electoral Commission (EC) has reminded to applicants who may avail themselves for the pilot registration exercise for a new voters register to put precautionary measures in place to check Conoravirus
“Wear your nose mask before going to any registration centre”, EC’s Public Affairs Director, Saviour Annor urged on Manhyia-based Opemsuo FM morning show hosted by George Opoku Mensah.
According to the EC’s Public Affairs Director, the exercise is opened to all Ghanaians above the age of eighteen and of sound mind contrary to rumours it is for a select people commences today, June 2, 2020, and is taking place across the 16 regional capitals of Ghana
“Everyone is entitled to, so you can also go there to register”, Madam Saviour Annor stated on ” Nkwantanan” show
According to Sylvia Annor, the Commission will put the necessary safety protocols in place to ensure that Ghanaians are adequately protected against COVID-19 contraction while undertaking the exercise.
“People coming to register will be given hand sanitizers before they enter the registration centre, you need to wear a face mask, without a face mask you cannot enter a registration centre”, she revealed
She reiterated that not more than 25 people will be permitted at a registration centre at a given time when the Electoral commission begins the mass voter registration exercise for the December polls.
“At each point in time we will ensure that we do not have more than 25 persons including the officials at any registration centre,” Sylvia Annor stressed.
