E/R: Fuel Tanker Crashes Into Fuel Station

A fuel truck has crashed into a fuel station at Amanase in the Eastern Region.
The Ghana National Fire Service attributes the accident to brake failure on the truck, which was fully loaded at the time.
The crash overturned the truck, spilling its contents and raising fears of a potential explosion.
However, firefighters from the Suhum Fire Station responded swiftly to the scene.
“Arriving at 2100hrs, firefighters contained the fuel spill using foam and cooling techniques, preventing a potential explosion,” the police said in a statement.
No casualty was recorded as the driver and his mate escaped unharmed.
“The situation was safely managed, and the crew returned to base.”
