Parliament to Grill 4 Ministers on 22 Questions as 300 Committee Reports Await Action

The Majority Leader, Mahama Ayariga, has presented the Business Statement for the seventh week ending Thursday, July 2, 2026, outlining the business scheduled for consideration by Parliament.

Presenting the statement on the floor of the House on Thursday, Ayariga announced that four ministers are expected to appear before the House to answer 22 questions.

He said the House will also consider Bills, committee reports, motions, resolutions and statements during the week.

The Majority Leader, who is also a Member of Parliament for Bawku Central, disclosed that 300 referrals remain before 27 parliamentary committees.

He urged committee chairpersons to expedite work and submit their reports for consideration by the House to clear the backlog and improve legislative output.

Ayariga also reminded Members that although Republic Day falls on Tuesday, July 1, the public holiday will be observed on Friday, July 3, in accordance with the Public Holidays and Commemorative Days Act 2025, Act 1142.
