Our Bragging Rights As A ‘Peaceful Country’ Has Diminished Under Akufo-Addo – Former DCE

Former Sekyere Central District Chief Executive, Sociologist, and Lecturer at the Institute of Business Management and Journalism (IBM&J), Hon. Ebenezer Akuoko Frimpong has claimed that Ghana’s bragging right as a peaceful country has diminished under the current Akufo-Addo government.

According to him, chaotic scenes emanated from the 2020 general elections leading to the death of eight people coupled with other serious irregularities which must be investigated into.

He emphasized that the current Akufo-Addo government has slept over the issue without giving due attention which puts us on a scale of losing our bragging right on peace-related issues.

He reiterated that such victims of the 2020 election turmoil should have been spotted and their families compensated. And perpetrators made to face the wrath of the law but the government has frowned upon it.

He the former DCE said he is forever committed to the advocacy of this menace as this act is eager to be repeated in subsequent elections.
