Otumfuo Foundation in Partnership with AngloGold Ashanti Donates To Obuasi Schools
The Asantehene Otumfuo Osei Tutu II Foundation has begun the year in a full-force with several projects lined up in 2023 sparkling with a massive donation at Obuasi.
The foundation in partnership with the AngloGold Ashanti has distributed a total of thirty-four thousand (34,000) NaCCA-approved textbooks to all public schools in and around the Obuasi Municipality in the Ashanti Region.
The second phase of this exercise began on Tuesday, January 17, and will end on Friday, January 20, following the first phase, which was completed last year in partnership with AngloGold Ashanti Ghana.
This project which falls under EDUCATION as one of our thematic areas is aimed at enhancing teaching and learning and helping inculcate a positive attitude towards literacy and numeracy at the basic levels of education.
2nd phase of the Project.
In the 1st phase, the foundation distributed 17,000 NaCCA-approved English and Science textbooks to schools in the Obuasi Municipality.
In the 2nd phase, we are distributing 17,000 NaCCA-approved Twi and Mathematics textbooks to the same municipality.
