ORC Sets 30 June 2026 as Final Deadline for Annual Returns and Business

The Office of the Registrar of Companies (OCR) has set June 30, 2026, as the final deadline for all registered business owners, company directors, secretaries and partners of incorporated partnerships in Ghana to file their Annual Returns and renew business names.

In a final reminder, it noted that the date will not be extended.

The reminder follows an earlier press release, which announced the same deadline and urged all defaulting companies and businesses to comply.

According to the ORC, companies that fail to file Annual Returns together with their financial statements will be considered non-compliant and will be required to pay a penalty of Two Thousand Ghana Cedis for companies that have defaulted for five years or more, and One Thousand Ghana Cedis for companies that have defaulted between one and four years, in addition to the normal filing fees.

The Office warned that non-compliant companies face the risk of being delisted from the official Register, which could affect their legal standing and ability to operate.

The ORC is therefore urging all companies and business owners to meet the statutory obligation within the specified time to ensure continuity of their businesses.
