NPP MPs Undergo Advanced Parliamentary Excellence Training in the UK

The Leadership of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) Members of Parliament has rolled out an advanced training programme on “Mastering Parliamentary Excellence” for a selected group of MPs in the United Kingdom.

This latest cohort marks the third batch of NPP Members of Parliament to benefit from the party’s international capacity-building initiative, following similar programmes previously held in the UK and Canada.

The training in partnership with the International Centre for Governance and Policy (ICGP) was designed to equip participants with practical knowledge, critical analytical skills, and effective tools to enhance their performance in legislative duties, public policy engagement, constituency representation, and political party organisation.

A statement by Henry Nana Boakye, the National Organiser of the party, said the initiative reinforces the NPP’s commitment to continuous learning, leadership development, institutional strengthening, and effective parliamentary governance.

The party’s parliamentary leadership, known as the Mighty Minority, was specially commended for driving the programme.

Hon Osahen Alexander Kwamena Afenyo-Markin, Hon. Patricia Appiagyei, Hon. Frank Annor-Dompreh, Hon. Habib Iddrisu, and Hon. Jerry Ahmed Shaib were praised for their visionary and forward-looking leadership.
