New Students Loan Application Portal Opened for First-Year Students
The new Students Loan Trust Fund application portal has opened for first-year students of public tertiary institutions in Ghana to register for financial support under the No-Fees-Stress policy.
It comes after an application portal was launched by the Minister of Education, Honourable Haruna Iddrisu.
According to the Fund, the No-Fee-Stress policy is a transformative, bold, and visionary initiative designed to mitigate the financial barriers that hinder Ghanaian students from accessing tertiary education.
“It is a strategic investment by the government in our nation’s human capital development and future competitiveness, and will catalyze Ghana’s quest for accessible and inclusive higher education.”
It furthered, “The Students Loan Trust Fund, in tune with its mandate to provide financial resources for the benefit of students of accredited tertiary institutions, is committed to the successful roll-out and implementation of this policy.”
According to the Fund, the portal offers a streamlined registration process, enabling students to easily provide their information and allowing the SLT to efficiently authenticate their eligibility for government support under this policy.
