The National Builders Corps Trainees (NABCO), has given the Government and relevant key stakeholders a one-week ultimatum to address their pressing issues concerning nine months of payment arrears after picketing in Accra on Thursday, August 18, 2022.

According to their press release sighted by Opemsuo.com on Monday, August 22, 2022, they said that if by the close of this week, August 26, they have not gotten any response, there shall be phase 2 of the picketing, for which the destination point will be the Jubilee House, their initial target point for the phase 1 but had to be changed due to security concerns raised by the police.

The release reads; “We are counting on the assuring words from the Deputy Chief of Staff, Mr. Emmanuel Adumua- Bossman, which were given on behalf of the Vice President of the Republic of Ghana, His Excellency Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, to get a positive response by the close of the week”.

Furthermore, it reads; “It is our earnest expectation that the Government response to our petition by August 26, 2022, if that fails to materialize, there will be another picketing around Jubilee House on the same date”.
