Muntaka Assures Security Personnel of Gov’t Commitment to Welfare, Logistics

The Minister for the Interior, Muntaka Mubarak, has assured security personnel of the government’s unwavering commitment to their welfare and operational needs, as he believes that a motivated and well-resourced security service is central to national development.
Speaking to officers at the Ho Technical University Auditorium on Tuesday as part of his working visit to the Volta Region, the Minister emphasised the indispensable role security agencies continue to play in safeguarding national peace, stability, and public safety.
He noted that the sacrifices and dedication of officers in maintaining peace across the country cannot be overstated and reaffirmed that their welfare remains a top priority for the government.
Muntaka outlined key interventions being pursued to address concerns raised by personnel, including the mechanisation of rent allowances, improvements in office and residential accommodation, the provision of logistics and operational vehicles, as well as promotions and other welfare-related measures.
He assured personnel that all issues raised during the engagement would receive the necessary attention and consideration.
In a separate interaction with non-security agencies under the Ministry of the Interior, the Interior Minister commended them for their invaluable contributions to public service delivery.
He reaffirmed his commitment to addressing challenges confronting their institutions to enhance efficiency and productivity.
