Most Teachers Are Not Happy On Mr. Anthony Boateng Contract Extension- Concerned Teachers
The Coalition of Concerned Teachers has raised concerns with displeasure over the third time re-contract extension of the Deputy Director General of Education, in the person of Mr. Antony Boateng who is supposed to be in his retirement.
Speaking with Opemsuo news, the Communication Director of the Coalition of Concerned Teachers, Mr. Frank Gyakye, indicated that the group is calling on Mr. Boateng to deny his contract extension, even though, the President has the power to give that offer according to the constitution of Ghana.
He added, that the group is on a press release calling on other Education Directors and Officers who are supposed to be in their retirement to go and pave way for other persons to be recruited to occupy the space.
Mr. Gyakye said, they will let their members fuse any directives from those officers in long time contract basis if they refused to resign.
Furthermore, he called on Government to have the political will to let people in the public service be in their retirement section and pave way for the energetic people to be recruited into the working field.
