Ministry Of Finance Disclaims An Online Finance Support Advert

The Ministry of Finance has issued a disclaimer against a notice in its name advertising finance support for businesses in Ghana.

The online notice directs businesses, and small and medium-scale enterprises to apply for an “Enterprise Grants Fund” by filling out a form.

The notice purports to be from the Ministry but in a disclaimer, it dissociated itself from the scheme.

“The attention of the Ministry has been drawn to an advert in circulation on various social media platforms and through personal emails purportedly from the Ministry of Finance encouraging the general public, Businesses, and Small and Medium Scale Enterprises (SMEs) to apply for financing support through the Enterprise Grant Fund programme by completing a supposed official Grant Application form,” a part of the disclaimer read.

It noted that its communications are channelled through only its official social media platforms.

The Ministry also urged the public to contact it for clarification in such regard.
