Man Arrested for Impersonating Presidential Secretary in Job Scam

A man has been arrested for impersonating Dr Callistus Mahama, Secretary to President John Dramani Mahama, and defrauding people by promising appointments in exchange for money.
Dr Mahama disclosed the arrest in a Facebook post on Friday alongside a photo of a man in handcuffs.
He said the suspect had for some time been posing as him and falsely offering to secure appointments for payment.
According to him, investigations into the matter have now led to the arrest.
The Presidential Secretary used the incident to warn the public against such schemes.
He stated that no one is required to pay money to obtain an appointment and that anyone demanding payment while claiming to act on behalf of his office is a fraudster.
Dr Mahama urged Ghanaians to remain vigilant, verify any suspicious requests through official channels, and report individuals engaged in fraudulent activities.
He cautioned the public not to fall victim to the scams and concluded with a call to “stay alert, stay informed.”
