Man Arrested For Impersonating Police Officer

The Police have arrested a man for impersonating personnel of the Service with some police uniforms in his possession.

The arrest was effected on Sunday, March 17, 2024, through the “vigilance of some {police} officers”, the Ghana Police Service relayed in a press statement.

Identified as Hassan Avorgah, the suspect was said to possess a police uniform without lawful authority.

“The Ghana Police Service, through the vigilance of some of its officers yesterday 17th March 2024, arrested suspect Hassan Avorgah for impersonation and possession of Police uniform without lawful authority.

“The suspect is currently in custody while investigation is ongoing to establish how he came by the uniform,” a brief statement released by the service noted.

The public has been assured of the requisite disciplinary action against the suspect.
