We Aren’t Offering Appointments- DVLA

The Driver and Vehicle Licensing Authority (DVLA) has disclaimed circulars announcing appointment by the Chief Executive Officer (CEO).

In a notice, it urged the public to disregard the news.

“The Driver and Vehicle Licensing Authority (DVLA) wishes to inform the general public to disregard appointment offers purported to have been issued and signed by the Chief Executive giving employment to people.”

It noted that the purported appointment offers are fraudulent creations by criminally-minded individuals aimed at deceiving the unsuspecting public.

It therefore encouraged the public to avoid such social media adverts.

“We wish to admonish any person who is given any such offer to report to the Police for immediate action, any individual who purports to facilitate such offers.”

The Authority has committed to formally announcing such an exercise in due time.
