Five Successfully File Nomination to Contest NPP Flagbearership

Five people have successfully submitted and filed their nominations to contest for the flagbearership position of the New Patriotic Party (NPP).

This was confirmed by the Presidential Elections Committee of the party in a statement issued on August 28, 2025.

The five are Ing. Kwabena Agyei Agyepong, Hon. Ken Ohene Agyapong, Hon. Dr. Bryan Acheampong, H. E. Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia and Hon. Dr. Yaw Osei Adutwum.

It will be recalled that on Tuesday, July 29, 2025, the General Secretary, on behalf of the National Council, officially opened nominations for Party members desirous of contesting to become the Party’s Presidential Candidate.

The Committee has since committed to a transparent, credible, and fair election process.

The Presidential Primary will be held on Saturday, January 31. 2026.
