Ghana Football Association’s Executive Council member, Frederick Acheampong, has won the Ghana Olympics Committee’s Treasurer position today.
The astute football administrator amassed 41 votes as against 22 of his opponent Christopher Essilfi.
His vast experience in football administration and background as a holder of masters in finance from a reputable University (University of Cardiff, UK) is expected to catapult into success for Ghana Olympics Committee.
The mission of the Ghana Olympic Committee is to develop and protect the Olympic Movement in Ghana, and to promote the ideals of the Commonwealth Games in accordance with the Olympic Charter and the Constitution of the CGF.
The former Ashanti Gold Chief Executive Officer is a General match coordinator for Confederation of Africa Football (CAF).
