Confirmed! Wahab Adams Hands In Transfer Request

Asante Kotoko central defender, Wahab Adams, has written to Management of the club to mutually terminate his contract.

According to a grapevine source within the camp of the player, the former Aduana Stars hard-tackling defender handed in the transfer request due to lack of playing time.

Wahab has a one-year contract left with the Ghanaian giants, but he is convinced breaking the duopoly of Ismail Abdul-Ganiu and Mubarik Yussif will be a huge task.

Wahab has been slapped with stiff competition this season following the performance of Ismail Abdul-Ganiu and Mubarik Yussif. The two players have been consistent at the central defence position leaving Wahab Adams and Habib Mohammed at the periphery.

He has made only four appearances for Asante Kotoko in the ongoing 2020/21 Ghana Premier League season.

Wahab joined the Porcupine Warriors in 2017 after ending his eight years spell with Aduana Stars.
