Joshua and Fury Seal Deal for Heavyweight Bout

Tyson Luke Fury and Anthony Oluwafemi Olaseni Joshua, two former unified heavyweight champions, have agreed to a long-awaited showdown.

Anthony Joshua, a son of British Nigerian parents, will return to the ring for the first time since being involved in a vehicle accident in Nigeria in December that killed two of his friends.
Tyson Fury had already fought and won a contest against Arslanbek Makhmudov after the two fighters were engaged in a pre-existing contract, which he stated after the fight at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium that he had signed and was waiting for Joshua to do similar.
Speculations were turbo-charged on Monday by acknowledged boxing promoters, Turki Alalshikh, a Saudi boxing boss, Eddie Hearn, a boxing promoter and the chairman of Matchroom Sport, on their various social media profiles.

“To my friends in Great Britain. It’s happening; it’s signed,” Turki Alalshikh wrote posted on his social media after Joshua sealed the deal.
Hearn, Joshua’s promoter, mirrored Alashikh’s sentiment in a post on Instagram shortly after his client had completed the paperwork: “Signed, sealed, delivered! AJ vs Fury is on!”
Anthony Joshua’s comeback battles arguably start in July with a bout between Albania’s Kristian Prenga, headquartered in the United States of America, and has lost in only one fight after 21 bouts thus far.
Joshua responded to Fury in a long-awaited question after he outpointed Arslanbek Makhmudov at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

“I’ve been chasing you the last 10 years; when you’re ready, you come and see me and tell me your terms and conditions. I’m the boss; you work for me. I’m the landlord. You work for me,” AJ answered.
Regardless of whether Joshua defeats Prenga, he now appears to be destined to face Fury in an era-defining contest that will definitely be one of the biggest in British boxing history.
