Asante Kotoko coach Mariano Barreto has indicated that it is difficult now for the Porcupines to win this season’s league title following yesterday’s defeat against their sworn-rivals, Hearts of Oak.
Hearts of Oak stunned Kotoko by a 1-0 in what seems to be the decider for who will win this season’s League, thanks to Daniel Afriyie Barnie’s 67th minute goal.
Three points is now separating Hearts and Kotoko with three matches to end the season.
And the Portuguese tactician believes that Kotoko’s opportunity to win the League has become very slim due to yesterday’s defeat.
In the post match presser, the Kotoko gaffer said, “It is more difficult for us to win the league because we are behind, but we shouldn’t give up.”
“I feel that we deserve another result other than what came to us. We have three matches to go and it will be difficult for us.”
The Porcupines are after their 25th League title with three matches to conclude the 2020/21 season.
