Ghana Tourism Authority Announces Nationwide World Cup Watch Parties

The Ghana Tourism Authority is rolling out a nationwide series of World Cup watch parties, setting up live screening events in all 16 regions ahead of the 2026 FIFA World Cup.

This is meant to rally support for the Black Stars and boost local engagement as the countdown to the 2026 FIFA World Cup is on.

The GTA, in a notice on Friday, said it intended to bring fans together with a series of live screening events across the country.

The events are designed to promote national pride and international engagement while giving local supporters the chance to experience every match of the global showpiece as a community.

The screenings will run from June 11 to July 19, matching the tournament dates.

GTA said detailed locations for each region have been published on its website and social media slides so fans can easily find a viewing centre near them.

The initiative also comes as the Black Stars prepare to represent Ghana on the world stage. GTA is urging Ghanaians to turn out in their numbers and rally behind the team.

“Join us in supporting the Black Stars as they strive to make Ghana proud on the global stage,” the Authority stated.

By setting up regional watch parties, GTA aims to boost domestic tourism, drive engagement in local economies, and create a unified atmosphere of support as Ghana joins the rest of the world for football’s biggest tournament.
