KKD Lands Appointment as Special Envoy to the Caribbean

Renowned media personality Kwasi Kyei Darkwah, also known as KKD, has been appointed as the Special Envoy to the Caribbean.

The appointment by President John Dramani Mahama aims to strengthen international relations and deepen bilateral ties with Caribbean nations, including Cuba, Haiti, the Dominican Republic, Trinidad and Tobago, and Barbados.

Ghana seeks enhanced diplomatic, cultural, and economic relations with these nations, aligning with Ghana’s broader foreign policy goals.

According to the government, the appointment highlights the country’s commitment to leveraging historical, cultural, and ancestral links to strengthen bonds with the Caribbean.
