KMA Takes Kumasi’s Development Pitch to International Partners in Push for Investment and Technical Support
The Kumasi Metropolitan Assembly has intensified its drive to position the city as a modern, investment-ready hub.
The Metropolitan Chief Executive, Hon. Richard Kwasi Ofori Boadi Agyemang, has led a delegation on a round of high-level engagements with key international development partners and diplomatic missions.
The visits in Accra, took the KMA team to GIZ Ghana, the Embassy of Japan, the International Organization for Migration, the country office of JICA, and the Embassy of the Kingdom of the Netherlands.
According to the Assembly, the engagements were aimed at attracting strategic partnerships, investment and technical support to accelerate Kumasi’s development agenda.
Discussions centered on areas of mutual interest, new avenues for collaboration, and strengthening existing partnerships that align with the city’s vision of becoming a resilient and sustainable metropolis.
Hon. Agyemang used the opportunity to express appreciation to the partners and sister-city collaborators for their longstanding support.
He noted that their contributions have been critical to infrastructure development, environmental sustainability, urban governance, capacity building, and improving the quality of life for residents of Kumasi.
The Mayor emphasized that KMA is keen on deepening international cooperation to unlock new opportunities and mobilize resources needed to address the city’s growing urban challenges.
“KMA remains committed to building stronger international partnerships that will attract investment and accelerate the sustainable development of the Kumasi Metropolis,” he said.
The outreach forms part of broader efforts by the Assembly to leverage global partnerships to drive growth, improve urban services, and make Kumasi more competitive for investors.
