Ghana Embassy in Kuwait Warns Citizens Over Fake Recruitment Scams

The Embassy of the Republic of Ghana in the State of Kuwait has issued a public notice warning Ghanaians against fraudulent recruitment schemes targeting job seekers in Kuwait and Iraq.

In a statement, the embassy said it has noted an increase in activities by unscrupulous recruitment agents making false job offers to Ghanaians.

 

It urged all prospective Ghanaian nationals seeking employment in Kuwait and the Republic of Iraq to verify offers before accepting them.

The embassy advised job seekers to contact either the Middle East Bureau of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Accra or the Ghana Embassy in Kuwait to conduct due diligence on recruiting companies.

The advisory is aimed at preventing Ghanaians from falling victim to employment fraud and illegal migration schemes in the Middle East.
