Kotokuom Bridge Rehab Completed and Commissioned- Minister

The rehabilitation of the Kotokuom Bridge over the Offin River in the Atwima Mponua District has been completed and commissioned.

According to the Ashanti Regional Minister, Dr Frank Amoakohene, the bridge was commissioned on August 26, 2025.

A viral video of the damaged bridge narrated how a runoff had severely damaged it.

The Minister announced the closure of the bridge, which had become a death trap to motorists, shortly after the National Democratic Congress (NDC) took office.

In a Facebook post on Tuesday, he posted, “Kotokuom is the happiest Community in Ghana today. The bridge is officially commissioned.”

He also expressed gratitude to the President of the Republic, John Dramani Mahama, for his swift intervention that has brought relief to residents and users of the bridge.
